Projects & labels
Both organise tasks, but differently: a task lives in one project and can carry many labels.
Projects
- A project is a container for tasks (e.g. "Work", "Home renovation").
- Each workspace has one special Inbox project — the default home for new tasks.
- Projects can be nested: a project can have a parent, forming a tree in the sidebar.
- Each project has a color.
- Projects can be archived (hidden from the sidebar and lists) without deleting their tasks. Archiving is reversible.
Use a project when you're grouping a body of work you want to see together.
Labels
- A label is a lightweight tag (e.g. "urgent", "errand", "blocked-on-client"), shared workspace-wide, with a color.
- A task can have several labels; they show as colored chips.
- Deleting a label strips it from every task that had it.
Use a label when you want to slice tasks across projects — everything "urgent", wherever it lives.
Available colors for both: gray, red, orange, amber, green, blue, purple, pink.
Voice tip. The assistant can create, rename and recolor projects and labels, move tasks between projects, and add or remove labels — "label the shopping tasks as errand", "archive the renovation project".
