Notes
Notes are a separate space from tasks, for longer rich-text writing — meeting notes, plans, references. They live on the Docs page, organised into folders that can be nested (and optionally tied to a project).
What a note is
- A rich-text (WYSIWYG) document: headings, bold/italic/strikethrough, code, bullet and numbered lists, quotes, links, and inline images.
- Under the hood every note also keeps a markdown copy, so notes are searchable by their text.
- Each note can have file attachments.
- You can dictate straight into a note's editor with its built-in mic button — your speech is structured into clean markdown (headings, lists) rather than one long paragraph.
Notes and the voice assistant
The assistant can read, search, create and update notes:
- Summarise a note or pull the action items out of it.
- Find a note by topic when you don't remember the exact title.
- Append to a note (keeps existing content and images), replace its whole body, or rename it.
- Turn a note into tasks — extract concrete action items and create tasks from them. Purely informational notes are left alone rather than force-fitted into tasks.
Notes vs tasks — which to use
Use a task for something to do; use a note for something to remember or write down. If a note accumulates to-dos, ask the assistant to turn it into tasks.
